transportation:

The Finger Lakes region has many gifts - award-winning wineries, spectacular parks, like Watkins Glen State Park with waterfalls and gorges, and seasonal events, like Finger Lakes Cider Week. We recommend driving to camp if you’re within driving distance or renting a car if you fly into the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport so you and your love can leisurely explore the region and all it has to offer.

lodging:

Our luxury campground’s king bed tents are perfect for honeymooners with a plush king bed and private tented porch furnished with rocking chairs. Electric tents are available with lamps, outlets, heaters if you visit in spring or fall when the temperatures are cooler or fans if you visit in the warm summer months. To take it up a notch, our master king tent is outfitted with additional lounge seating, a larger private tented porch with a hammock, and electricity amenities. For some extra r&r, book the extended stay package, which offers 50% off your 4th night when you book 3 nights.

While unwinding on your glamping honeymoon, try disconnecting from the outside world and leaving your devices behind so you can bask in the gifts of nature and be present with each other. With all the wedding planning behind you, this is a relaxing and romantic time to deepen your connection with each other. If you need to hop on the grid every now and then during your honeymoon (maybe to share some epic waterfall photos captured on your hike!), the lobby tent has a charging station.

dining:

  • Ithaca is home to a variety of culinary treasures and we’ve curated a list of nearby restaurants to help you savor the taste of the region. Just A Taste, Gola, and especially Hazelnut Kitchen are our favorite spots for a romantic dinner.

  • John Thomas Steakhouse is a traditional steakhouse in a quaint farmhouse that’s just a short walk from your tent. Book the glamp and dine package to receive a $100 credit towards your meal.

  • The lounge area of camp is equipped with propane and charcoal grills and grilling tools so you can whip up a delicious fireside meal with fix-ins from Ithaca’s Farmers Market (open on weekends), The Piggery (a farm-to-table butcher shop), or regional grocers. To inspire your outdoor cooking, scoop up a copy of our co-founder Emma Frisch’s cookbook Feast By Firelight for simple and delicious recipes. Or if you prefer a no-hassle campfire meal, we offer roast-your-own hot dogs and sausages, vegan hot dogs, and rotating seasonal sides.

  • Breakfast is included in your reservation and served daily in our lobby tent. The locally-sourced breakfast spread includes muffins and pastries, hard boiled eggs, yogurt with sweet and savory toppings, quick rolled oats, and assorted juices, teas and coffee.

activities + excursions:

  • For unparalleled views of Ithaca and Cayuga Lake and an unforgettable experience with your love, Southern Tier Balloon Tours offers hot air balloon rides that can launch from camp, depending on weather.

  • Unwind and reconnect with your inner peace with an in-tent spa treatment from August Moon Spa. Your massage therapist will greet you at your tent and setup a restorative treatment on your tent porch. Book the restorative getaway package to receive a $100 credit towards your treatment.

  • Explore Ithaca by water with a tandem kayak rental from Puddledockers on Cayuga Lake, the longest of the Finger Lakes.

  • Toast to your forever camping buddy with a wine tour guided by Experience! The Finger Lakes. The knowledgeable guides will lead you on an immersive tour and wine tasting adventure.

  • Learn about the diverse ecology of the forest and trails surrounding camp on a guided wild foraging hike where you’ll identify a variety of wild Northeastern plants.

End each day of your glamping honeymoon around the campfire with artisanal wines, beers, ciders, spirits and craft cocktails from the Firelight bar. This sacred space will deepen your connection to nature, and more importantly, to each other.
