Immersed in nature, you’ll sleep like a log among the trees and wake to birdsong as silhouettes of leaves dance on the tent walls. Nature meets luxury in our furnished tents, which are outfitted with hardwood floors, a plush king or double queen beds, a private tented porch with rocking chairs, battery-powered lanterns, and a writer’s desk and chair.
luxury safari tents
Rates are per tent, per night, and are based on a 2 guest occupancy. Please see specific dates for accurate rates.
We have two styles of luxury safari tents: King Tents and Double Queen Bed Tents.
Our King Tents have a maximum occupancy of 3 people
Double Queen Tents have a maximum occupancy of 4 people.
Cots can be added to your tent to make the bedding configuration more comfortable while still adhering to the maximum number of guests per tent.
3 PM check-in and 11 AM check-out
Additional nightly fees: Extra adult - $50; Extra child under 12 - $30; Friendly dogs - $30 (allowed in non-electric tents only)
MIDWEEK RATES: Sunday - Thursday
Tent options start at $179 double occupancy per night in the shoulder season and $235 double occupancy per night in the peak season.
WEEKEND RATES*: Friday & Saturday
Tent options start at $305 double occupancy per night (2-night minimum) in the shoulder season and $353 double occupancy per night in the peak season.
*Weekends have a 2-night minimum.
CANCELATION POLICY:
Reservations cancelled 14+ days prior to check-in will receive a full refund, minus a $24.99 cancellation fee. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of your stay will lose the initial 50% deposit. To cancel or modify your reservation, please call or email.

what your stay includes
Private tented balcony immersed in the woods
Immediate access to Upper Buttermilk Falls hiking trails.
Bathhouse with hot showers, flushing toilets & eco-friendly bath products (2-5 min walk from tents).
Bare Bones Living Lanterns in each tent.
Four of our tents (Tents 16, 17, 18, and 19) have electric heaters, fans, floor lamps, and outlets; these tents are priced higher. All tents have super warm bedding. We recommend booking an electric tent if you're wary of sleeping outdoors during the spring and fall when temperatures can be chilly in Upstate, NY.
lobby & lounge
When you arrive at our furnished lobby tent, you’ll be greeted by a Camp Host at our front desk for check-in and they’ll help you get settled in the great outdoors. The lobby tent also includes:
Beverage station with freshly brewed Firelight Coffee, hot water and tea.
Water dispenser for canteen refills.
Phone charging station.
Communal campfires lit at sundown in the outdoor lounge areas.
Recreation: game and book library, bocce ball, corn hole
Trail maps and local and regional activity information.
Quiet Hours, 11 PM - 8 AM: Please observe quiet hours and help us maintain a peaceful, relaxed environment for all of our guests.
food & drink
Breakfast, 7:30 - 10 AM | Locally sourced breakfast served daily in our lobby tent includes pastries, bagels, fresh seasonal fruit, yogurt, house granola, hard-boiled eggs, and a rotating collection of other local items. Artisanal campfire coffee and tea are served 24/7. Gluten-free and vegan options are available.
Bar, 5 - 11 PM | Serves artisanal wines, beers, cider, and spirits from the best micro-producers in the Finger Lakes. Specialty cocktails, non-alcoholic sodas and juices, and seasonal offerings like our autumnal hot chocolate or mulled cider are also available.
**Guests are not permitted to consume their own alcohol in the lobby or communal areas.

BYO Picnic | We encourage you to bring your own picnic to Firelight Camps, or collect cheese, preserves, and other culinary treasures when you explore the region to sample back at camp. Propane and charcoal grills are available for guests in the lounge area outside the lobby tent with propane and charcoal supplied. The following grill tools can be requested at the front desk: turner and tongs, brush, tripod with a 3-hook attachment, grates, aluminum foil, or oil.
