IS THERE ELECTRICITY IN THE TENTS?

Four of our tents (Tents 16, 17, 18, and 19) have electric heaters, lamps, and outlets; these tents are priced higher. For all tents we provide battery-powered lanterns to illuminate the tents. For your convenience, we offer a charging station for your phones, computers, and other devices in our lobby tent, but we encourage you to unplug during your stay and immerse yourself in nature.

IS THERE HEATING IN THE TENTS?

Our four electric tents have heaters. The rest of our tents have extra blankets to keep you warm on cold nights, and in the colder months we provide complimentary hot water bottles and hand warmers. We've also prepared The Glamper's Essential Packing List to help you pack smartly for the weather. 

IS THERE A FULL BAR IN THE LOBBY TENT?

YES! We proudly feature local wines, beers, ciders, and spirits, with lots of yummy seasonal cocktails.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED?

YES. Friendly dogs are allowed for an additional $30 per night in our Non-Electric Tents only. Please check the box for 'pet friendly' when making a reservation through the booking system. We ask that dogs sleep on the floor, and are not left unattended at any time during your stay.

IS THERE (HOT) RUNNING WATER?

YES. Our bath house has hot running water, electricity, flushing toilets and everything else you need to put the "glam" in glamping!

HOW FAR IS FIRELIGHT FROM DOWNTOWN ITHACA?

Firelight Camps is just far enough from town to be quiet and peaceful, while still offering easy access to a range of activities. The glampground is 1 mile south of Ithaca College and 3.5 miles from downtown Ithaca (a 5-7 minute drive). Cornell University is about 4 miles away, or a 10 minute drive. 

CAN WE BRING THE KIDS?

Yes of course! Families have a great time at Firelight Camps, and many of our tents can sleep up to 4 people.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ROOM COST?

Extracurricular activities, such as treatments at August Moon Spa, wine tours with Experience! The Finger Lakes, or Yoga are not included in your stay. Additionally, bar services and camp store provisions cost extra.

WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT? IS EARLY CHECK-IN AVAILABLE? IS LATE CHECK-OUT AVAILABLE?

Check-in is at 3pm, and check-out is at 11am. Please contact us if you will be arriving to Firelight after 9pm, or if you would like to arrange late checkout 1pm for an additional fee of $50. Due to the short time we have to flip the campground, we do not offer early check-ins. 

DO THE TENTS HAVE THEIR OWN FIRE RINGS?

NO, due to fire code regulations, each tent does not have its own firepit. Our Camp Hosts tend to multiple communal fire rings centrally located in the lobby and lounge area.

CAN WE PITCH AN ADDITIONAL TENT ON OUR SITE? DO YOU HAVE RV HOOKUPS?

NO, we do not allow personal tents on the property nor do we have RV hookups available.
